There can’t be many other teams more relieved than Nimes when the French Ligue 1 season was halted due to the enforced lockdown as Sunday’s hosts were not only sitting third from bottom on the domestic top flight ladder, but they’d also suffered three defeats on the trot before the season was put on hold.

Brest Preview – Can Brest stay clear of trouble?
Sunday’s visitors, Brest, put in a solid and satisfactory campaign in last season’s Ligue 1 season as they finished in a creditable 14th place and seven points above their upcoming hosts, Nimes, prior to this clash at the Stade des Costières.
However, with just one win from their final seven matches overall in the French top flight (which was a 3-2 home win against Saint-Etienne), Brest could well find themselves in the bottom half of Ligue 1 again this term, especially if they don’t improve upon results away from home.
