Next up is a top of the table clash between second placed Norway and current group leaders, Bulgaria as the betting tips continue in League C Group 3 in Oslo.
Norway recently suffered a 1-0 defeat away at tonight’s opponents Bulgaria which put an end to an excellent five-match winning streak which included wins against Australia, Albania, Iceland, Panama and Cyprus.
The Norwegians bounced back though with a 1-0 home win over bottom nation Slovenia and they’ll go in search of back-to-back wins and revenge when Bulgaria visit their Ullevaal Stadion. Norway are a tough team to shift on home turf having won their last six on the trot and are unbeaten in their last nine in all competitions on home turf.
Bulgaria sit top of Group 3 after making an excellent start to their Nations League campaign with wins over Slovenia, Norway and Cyprus although the latter two results were gained at their Stadion Vasil Levski.
The visitors did also chalk up a win away from home at Slovenia but given they currently sit bottom of the group having lost all three of their group matches to date, we might just take this recent win with a pinch of salt.
Indeed, that win at Slovenia ended a miserable run of seven matches without an away win in all competitions, and it’ll be interesting to see how they fare against their main rivals for promotion from this group away from home in this one.
Norway have won the last two encounters against Bulgaria in Oslo although the last meeting was admittedly four years ago. Nevertheless, my betting tips suggest backing Norway to make the most of home advantage here this evening.
