Norway Preview – Norwegians to take it to the final day?

Stale Solbakken’s Norway have had a fine World Cup qualifying campaign thus far. After eight Group G games, the Lions have picked up five wins, drawn two and lost one. They have taken an impressive 17 points from a possible 24.

Norway can still overhaul Holland at the top and secure direct qualification to next year’s World Cup in Qatar. In their final group match next week, the Norwegians make the trip to Rotterdam to play the Dutch. Before then, though, they must navigate past eliminated Latvia.

Our betting prediction:

Since suffering a surprise 3-0 loss to Turkey in Spain on matchday two, Norway are unbeaten in six in Group G, winning four and drawing two. Solbakken’s troops should ease past Latvia in Oslo on Saturday.

Latvia Preview – Can the Latvians cause problems in Oslo?

Having taken just five points from a possible 24, Latvia are eliminated from World Cup qualification. Still, Dainis Kazakevic’s men will be looking to finish their campaign on a high. After Saturday’s game, the Latvians end with a trip to Gibraltar.

Latvia have had one or two eye-catching results in the group. They picked up a 3-3 draw with Turkey in Istanbul back in March, coming back from a 3-1 deficit. They also drew 0-0 in Montenegro, and beat Gibraltar 3-1 in Riga.
