Norwich City Preview – In-form Canaries to make home advantage count?

Norwich City started life back in the Championship with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium. However, the Canaries went on to take just one point from their next three, drawing with Preston North End and losing 1-0 to both Bournemouth and Derby County.

Norwich have been one of the form sides in the division since then, though. Daniel Farke’s men are unbeaten in six in the Championship, winning four and drawing two. Before being held to a goalless draw by Gary Rowett’s Millwall at Carrow Road in midweek, Norwich had taken 13 points from a possible 15.

Our betting prediction:

The Canaries, who dropped out of the Premier League last term, are one of the favourites for promotion this season. The Norfolk club have started well, taking 18 points from 30 on offer so far. Can they beat one of their potential promotion rivals at the weekend?

Swansea City Preview – Swans to fall to a narrow defeat at Carrow Road?

Steve Cooper’s Swansea City have made another excellent start to a Championship campaign. The Swans have won half of their ten league fixtures, losing just once along the way. Swansea are sitting pretty in second spot at present, just three points behind league leaders Reading.

The Welsh side’s one and only defeat came at home to Huddersfield on matchday five. Since then, Cooper’s boys are undefeated in five, drawing three and winning two. After back-to-back 2-0 home wins over Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers, the Swans came from behind to draw 1-1 with Thomas Frank’s Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium on Tuesday.

Swansea are a capable outfit under Cooper. Although a draw at the weekend would be a very good result, the club from South Wales will be eyeing up all three points at Carrow Road. Can they send out a signal of intent to their promotion rivals with a win in Norwich?

Norwich City vs Swansea City Betting Advice

On their way to promotion from the Championship to the Premier League in the 2018-19 season, Farke’s boys beat Swansea home and away. Before a narrow 1-0 win at Carrow Road, the Canaries thumped the Swans 4-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Key Facts – Norwich City vs Swansea City Betting Tip

  • Norwich have won four and drawn two of their last six in the league
  • Swansea have lost just one of ten Championship matches this term
  • The Canaries have won three of their previous four against the Swans

On paper, Norwich and Swansea look well matched. Saturday’s showdown in Norfolk will no doubt be a tight affair between two of the Championship’s form sides, but we fancy Norwich to secure a narrow victory on their own patch. At tasty odds of 11/4, back the hosts to win by one goal.

Finland international Teemu Pukki netted twice in Norwich’s impressive 3-1 win at Ashton Gate last weekend. Pukki has scored three in his last four, and the 30-year-old is available at 7/5 to notch anytime on Saturday.
