Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Norwich City are another side who are on the fringes of the play-off pack, and whom will be keen to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat to Derby County, when they play host to high-flying Wolves at Carrow Road on Tuesday night in the Championship.

Prior to the defeat to The Rams, Norwich had put together an impressive eight-match sequence without defeat which included wins over Birmingham City, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, Reading and Ipswich Town which has helped lift The Canaries up into eighth place.

Most of Norwich’s success so far this season though has been away from home, but prior to the Derby defeat, Norwich were showing signs of a revival on home turf as they’d been unbeaten in the previous five at Carrow Road. Leading goalscorer, Nelson Oliveira is expected to be out injured for this clash, so Jerome is in line to start up front.

Second placed Wolves have seen their position at the top of the Championship lost to an in-form Sheffield United side who are in red-hot form right now, and the west midlands club will also be keen to return to winning ways here this evening, following Saturday’s surprising 2-1 defeat at QPR.

Wolves had previously strung together three wins on the trot with victories over Burton Albion, west midlands rivals, Aston Villa, and Preston North End, but they’ll be mindful of their recent inconsistent results on their travels which have seen Wolves lose at Sheffield United and QPR as well as gaining just a point at bottom half outfit, Brentford.

Nevertheless, Wolves hold a decent away record of  4-1-2  12/7 so far this season, and with the likes of attacking midfielder Jota (7 goals) and striker Bonatini (8 goals) in their ranks, Wolves look a good bet to score here.
