Nottingham Forest take on West Brom as my betting tips continue in the Championship for Tuesday night’s encounter at the City Ground between two teams that will be striving for promotion this season.
Nottingham Forest spent heavily during the summer months bringing in a lot of new faces with notable additions being Grabban (Bournemouth), Soudani (Dinamo Zagreb), Dawson (Hull City) and Colback (on loan from Newcastle United), as manager, Karaoke, looks to up the ante this season.
Forest finished in a disappointing 17th place at the end of last season and their home record of 10-3-10 25/27 was the perfect example of their inconsistent nature throughout the campaign. Big things are expected of Forest this season, with comparisons being made to Wolves at the start of last term having spent big in the transfer window.
West Brom need no greater incentive this season than to bounce straight back up to the Premier League at the first time of asking this season following last season’s relegation from the top flight. Manager, Darren Moore, almost pulled off a fantastic escape from the drop as he guided The Baggies to a five-match unbeaten run which took the relegation fight to the final day of the season.
Wins over Manchester United and Newcastle United (both away from home) had the fans dreaming of survival, and when they beat Tottenham at The Hawthorns, drams turned to belief. However, a 2-0 loss away at Crystal Palace ended their hopes of avoiding the drop, and they now face a long road back to the big time.
The Baggies have recently completed a loan swap with Newcastle United as striker Rondon has joined The Magpies, while Gayle moves to the west midlands.
This is a tough one to call in terms of a straight winner, but my betting tips suggest both teams to score here.
