Nottingham Forest Preview – Reds to stretch unbeaten run to seven?

After finishing seventh last term, missing out on the play-offs in the most cruellest of ways, Nottingham Forest would have wanted another promotion push this term. However, they have spent all season in and around the bottom three.

Nevertheless, after a horrid run of six defeats and a draw from seven, the Reds have turned a corner of late. Forest are unbeaten in four in the Championship, beating Sheffield Wednesday and Preston North End, and drawing with Millwall and Birmingham City. They also edged past fellow Championship side Cardiff City in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup last weekend.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score
4/5

Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest will want to keep up this undefeated run with a league win on Saturday. With half of the season now gone, Forest are involved in a relegation battle, but they could move six points clear of the bottom three if results go their way this weekend.

Millwall Preview – Can the Lions build on Tuesday’s draw?

After a two-week absence, Millwall returned to action with a poor 2-1 home loss to Coventry City on January 2nd. However, they hit back with a 2-0 FA Cup victory at Boreham Wood last weekend.

Millwall then surprised many by holding Jason Tindall’s high-flying Bournemouth to a draw at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night. After going a goal down on the stroke of half time, Matt Smith’s levelled for the Lions with just 11 minutes to play.

Millwall made a good start to their season, winning four, drawing three and losing only one of their opening eight. However, Gary Rowett’s troops have picked up just one win from their subsequent 14 league matches.

Nottingham Forest vs Millwall Betting Advice

At The Den just last month, Millwall and Nottingham Forest drew 1-1. Tom Bradshaw gave the Lions the lead just after half time, though Forest were level two minutes later thanks to an Alex Mighten effort. The Lions had more shots on goal, but Forest held on for a point.

Key Facts – Nottingham Forest vs Millwall Betting Tip

  • Nottingham Forest have won three and drawn three of their last six league and cup fixtures
  • Millwall have picked up just one win from their past 14 Championship games
  • Forest have not beaten the Lions since August 2017

With Millwall struggling for form of late, Nottingham Forest will back themselves to pick up all three points from this home match. It could be close on the scoreline, but our money is going on the home win. The 2-1 Forest victory at 5/1 has caught the eye.

Lyle Taylor has struggled to make an impact since making the switch to the City Ground from Charlton Athletic in August. However, the 30-year-old netted the winner in the FA Cup victory over Cardiff last weekend. We fancy Taylor to follow that up with another goal this Saturday. You can get the striker at 5/1 to score first.
