League One/Two Tips

NOTTS COUNTY v PORT VALE

Monday 1st January 2018 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

Despite just one league win from their last five in League Two, Notts County still remain in second place and occupy one of the automatic promotion spots ahead of their New Years Day clash with Port Vale at Meadow Lane.

Following three draws, defeat at Swindon Town and a 4-1 win away at Morecambe, County find themselves four points adrift of league leaders, Luton Town, but they’ll be looking to reduce this deficit on Monday afternoon as they look to preserve their unbeaten status on home turf so far this season.

A solid home record of  8-4-0  25/10 has been the foundation for a successful campaign so far for The Magpies, and with goals coming from various personnel such as leading goalscorer, Grant (13 goals), supported by Forte, Alessandra, Ameobi and Stead, manager Kevin Nolan will have reason to be confident here.

Port Vale are also enjoying a more successful and stable season now under new manager, Neil Aspin who has lifted them out of immediate relegation danger as his side now occupy a much healthier looking 16th place in League Two.

Aspin took over at the reigns with Port Vale sitting in 22nd place, but since his arrival, Vale have lost just four matches from their subsequent 14 matches overall, and they come into this encounter having registered four wins from their last five with wins over Cambridge United, Carlisle United, Coventry City and most impressive of all, a 4-0 rout of league leaders, Luton Town.

However, three of these four recent wins were recorded at Vale Park, while their away record stands at a more circumspect  4-3-5  13/15 with three of the four away wins being against bottom half opposition.
