The visitors finished in a creditable 7th place in the Bundesliga and just two points behind RB Leipzig who claimed the last remaining Europa League spot. This season though has seen a stark contrast in Stuttgart’s fortunes as they now sit bottom of the table.
Four defeats on the trot against Hannover 96, Borussia Dortmund, Hoffenheim and Eintracht Frankfurt haven’t done their cause any favours, while a poor away record of 0-1-4 4/13 has seen the visitors concede in each of their five away matches to date.
