Omonia Preview – Can Omonia stage comeback?
Being 2-0 down after last week’s 1st leg loss in Greece, Cypriot outfit, Omonia Nicosia, face a tough task of overcoming Olympiakos in Tuesday night’s 2nd leg of this play-off tie even though they hold home advantage at their Neo GSP ground.
Omonia Nicosia have battled their way through the early qualifying rounds of this season’s Champions League and have reached this play-off stage thanks to wins against Ararat-Armenia and Legia Warsaw (both away from home) and on penalties against Crvena Zvezda at home, but they face a mountain to climb if they’re to progress through to the group stages of the competition.
