First Division A Betting at Comeon

Oostende Prediction

Oostende currently occupy a bottom half position in the Belgian top flight and they haven’t been able to improve their current league standing of 12th place in recent weeks as the hosts have lost three of their last four matches overall with losses to Genk, Standard Liege and Royal Excel Mouscron.

With a 1-1 draw with mid-table Sint-Truiden also, this means that Oostende have earned just one point from a possible 12 on offer in recent weeks, and they now play host to high-flying Club Brugge on Sunday so their problems could well continue here.

Oostende have produced mixed results on home turf in recent times as they’ve gained wins over Sporting Charleroi and Lokeren but have also fallen to defeats against Gent 4-0 and Lokeren, amidst an overall record of 4-2-4 12/16 which also appears inconsistent.

Perhaps one of their biggest problems so far is the fact that they’ve managed to keep just one clean sheet at home all season to date.

Key-Facts – Oostende v Club Brugge

  • Oostende have lost 3 of their last 4 matches in the First Division A
  • Oostende have kept just 1 clean sheet from their 10 home matches in the league
  • Club Brugge have won the last 3 encounters between these two teams

Club Brugge Prediction

Club Brugge make their way to Oostende this Sunday lunchtime looking to bounce back from their shock 1-0 defeat at home to 7th placed Sporting Charleroi last weekend which ended a run of three league matches without defeat.

Club Brugge find themselves in 3rd place in the First Division A but some 10 points adrift of league leaders Genk despite recent wins against Antwerp 5-1 and Lokeren, and last week’s defeat did nothing to help them in their quest to close the gap on the leaders.

The visitors may just have to settle for a likely place in the Championship Round to then stake their claim for a European spot, and with just one win on the road from their last seven matches on their travels, they must get a result in Oostende on Sunday.

The head-to-head record is in Club Brugge’s favour though as the visitors have won the last three meetings between these two sides including a 3-2 win last time away at Oostende.

Betting Tips Verdict

Despite their ordinary results away from home in recent weeks, Club Brugge should be able to continue their good record over Oostende.
