Peterborough United Preview – Another three home points for the Posh?

Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough United had had a sensational season in League One up until now. The Posh have won 19, drawn five and lost eight. Hull are top on goal difference, but United have two games in hand on the Tigers.

Peterborough have the best home record in League One ahead of this round of fixtures. Ferguson’s boys have won 12 of 15 at London Road, losing just once along the way. Since losing to Blackpool way back on 21st November, United have dropped just two points at home.

Our betting prediction:
Jonson Clarke-Harris to score first
7/2

Peterborough suffered a rare league defeat last weekend, losing 2-1 at Burton Albion. Prior to that, they had won six and drawn one of seven. Can the Posh get back to winning ways in midweek?

Hull City Preview – Can the Tigers roar to a vital away victory?

After dropping out of the Championship last season, Grant McCann’s Hull City were many people’s tip for promotion this term. The Tigers have not had it all their own way this year, though they do lead the way as we start the business end of the season.

Hull have been in patchy form in 2021, but they have won four of their last six in League One, dropping just five points from the last 18 on offer. Last Saturday’s 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers at the KCOM Stadium was third win on the trot.

Hull have been excellent on the road this season, with just Lincoln City and Charlton Athletic picking up more away points. Can they stretch their legs at the summit with a massive victory on their travels this Tuesday night?

Peterborough United vs Hull City Betting Advice

City have been solid at home this term, but Peterborough left the KCOM Stadium with maximum points back in October. Despite going a goal down, second-half strikes from Jonson Clarke-Harris and Siriki Dembele won the points for Posh. That was the first meeting between the clubs since a 1-1 Championship draw back in January 2013.

Key Facts – Peterborough United vs Hull City Betting Tip

  • Peterborough have the best home record in League One
  • The Posh won 2-1 at the KCOM Stadium in October
  • Hull have not beaten United since 2012

On paper, these two high-flyers are very well matched. Both have picked up the same number of points, although Peterborough have played two games less. United battled back to secure a narrow win at the KCOM a few months back, and we fancy the league’s best home side to seal a massive three points on their own patch this Tuesday.

We fancy Hull to get on the scoresheet at London Road, though, so back the home win and both teams to score at 9/2. We also like the look of the United victory and over 3.5 goals, which is nicely priced at 7/1.
