Peterborough United Preview – Can Posh secure an invaluable three points?

Peterborough United have been on a horrendous run of form for several months. Posh have not won a game in the Championship since a 2-1 home victory over Millwall in December. Since then, Peterborough have gone on to draw three and lose ten of 13.

They did stop the losing rot with a draw against Bournemouth last time out. Posh caused the promotion chasers a real scare when Jack Marriott opened the scoring on the half-hour mark. However, just after half time, Ryan Christie netted to earn Scott Parker’s Cherries a share of the spoils at the Vitality Stadium.

Our betting prediction:
Stoke to win & both teams to score

Peterborough are desperate for points in their quest for Championship survival. Can they end their terrible winless run with a much-needed win in front of their home supporters this Saturday?

Stoke City Preview – Will the Potters end seven-game winless run?

It has been another disappointing season for Stoke City. The Potters were challenging for a play-off spot not so long ago, but a poor run of results has seen them slip down to 15th. Overall, Michael O’Neill’s troops have won 12, drawn nine and lost 14.

Stoke have failed to win any of their past seven league and cup matches, drawing three and losing four. After four defeats in a row, the Potters did manage to grab a point at Oakwell last time out thanks to Lewis Baker’s late goal.

Stoke will be aiming for a top-half finish before rebuilding and going again next season. Can they put a run of wins together, starting with three points at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday? The visitors are the bookies’ favourites at 21/20.

Peterborough United vs Stoke City Betting Advice

Stoke picked up a comfortable 2-0 home win when these two teams locked horns at the bet365 Stadium earlier in the season. Mario Vrancic opened the scoring early on, and Tyrese Campbell made sure of the points at the death.

This will be the first meeting between the two at London Road since the 2001-02 EFL League One campaign. That season, Stoke won 2-1 away from home and picked up a 1-0 home victory.

Key Facts – Peterborough United vs Stoke City Betting Tip

  • Peterborough have claimed just one league win since October
  • Stoke have failed to win in six Championship fixtures (three draws, three defeats)
  • The Potters have won each of the last six meetings

The teams are in poor form, though Stoke head to the Weston Homes Stadium as the favourites with the bookies. It might not be a pretty game, but with both sides looking for the points, we could see plenty of goals fly in. Put some money on the away win and over 2.5 goals at 13/5.

Since joining Stoke in January, Lewis Baker has impressed by scoring five Championship goals. Baker is priced at 14/1 to net the opening goal of this game.
