Staying in the English lower leagues but onto the third tier where Plymouth Argyle play host to Blackpool as the betting tips continue at Home Park with the hosts desperate to turn their fortunes around.
Plymouth Argyle currently sit bottom of League One but although they found themselves in similar territory around the early part of last season, The Pilgrims staged a remarkable turn around in form and narrowly missed out on the play-offs.
This time however, it looks like a great resurgence in their results will take a herculean effort as the hosts are still without a league win from seven matches to date; the one thing in their favour though is that they’ve lost just once at home this season.
Following back-to-back 1-1 draws with Southend United and Wycombe Wanderers, Plymouth were on the end of a 5-1 humiliation against Peterborough United, so manager Derek Adams will be keen to see a positive reaction on Saturday afternoon.
Incidentally, that defeat to Peterborough was Plymouth’s only los in their last 11 matches at Home Park.
Onto Blackpool and The Seasiders face a long trip down to the south-west coast on Saturday afternoon to face bottom club Plymouth Argyle – but they come into this encounter having put together a useful five-match unbeaten run.
Recent wins over Coventry City and Bradford City have been backed up by points against Shrewsbury Town, Accrington Stanley and Walsall, although both of the recent aforementioned victories were gained at Bloomfield Road.
On the road, Blackpool have drawn all three of their away matches to date, and with Plymouth keen to pull themselves off the bottom of the table, my betting tips suggest backing Plymouth with the handicap here.
