Port Vale to continue revival against Barnet

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

Port Vale kept their heads above water last weekend with a point away from home in a 1-1 draw at Newport County, and they’ll be keen to open up a gap over relegation rivals Barnet at Vale Park on Saturday afternoon as the hosts look to keep their revival going.

Port Vale started the new league season with a resounding 3-1 win away at Crawley Town on the opening day, but then suffered a disastrous run of results which saw The Valiants lose eight of their next 10 league matches which resulted in the sacking of former manager, Michael Brown.

Brown has since been replaced by former favourite, Neil Aspin, and in recent weeks, Port Vale have carved out wins over Cheltenham Town, Morecambe and Exeter City, with former striker, Tom Pope (7 goals) returning to the club from League One outfit, Bury.

Visitors Barnet sit one league place and one point adrift of Port Vale as the London club make their way to the Potteries for this important bottom of the table clash in League Two, but they look to have the odds against them in this fixture.

Barnet are without a win from their last 11 league matches, a run that includes seven defeats, while away from home, The Bees have lost their last four on the trot with defeats at Lincoln City, Wycombe Wanderers, Notts County and Accrington Stanley – conceding 11 goals and scoring just 4 in reply.

Barnet’s away record stands at  1-2-5  11/16 with their one success on their travels so far this season being a 4-1 win at Swindon Town, but they’ve since slumped to five matches without a win on the road.
