Portsmouth Preview – Will Pompey pick up first win in four?
Kenny Jackett’s Portsmouth have spent all season in the promotion picture, but Pompey have had some poor results along the way. In fact, they have suffered ten defeats, picking up 15 wins and seven draws from the other 22 games.
Portsmouth have gone off the boil in recent weeks, winning only one of their last six in League One. They have taken one point from a possible seven since a good 1-0 win at Oxford United on 23rd February, losing the last two to Doncaster Rovers and Northampton Town.
Fratton Park has been a real fortress for Portsmouth over the years, but Jackett’s boys have picked up just one home league win in six, losing three times. Incredibly, six of their ten league defeats have come at home. The Hampshire club will be desperate to get back to winning ways on Tuesday.
Sunderland Preview – Black Cats to extend unbeaten run?
Sunderland are once again in the promotion mix in League One. It has been another topsy-turvy season at the Stadium of Light, with Lee Johnson taking over from Phil Parkinson in early December. The Black Cats have been hard to beat under the former Bristol City boss, however.
Sunderland are unbeaten in the league since a 2-1 loss at Shrewsbury Town a month back. Since then, Johnson’s boys have hardly put a foot wrong, collecting an impressive 16 points from an available 18. Over the past week, the Wearsiders have sealed back-to-back home wins over Swindon Town and Rochdale.

Sunderland have a great chance to put some real daylight between themselves and Portsmouth. The Black Cats are priced at 13/8 to pick up a precious three points at Fratton Park in midweek.
