Marseille’s win on Friday reduced the lead at the top to six points, however the champions have two games in hand over their nearest rivals. The Parisians come into this match in spectacular form, too. PSG have won their last eight games in all competitions and are averaging over four goals during that run.
It’s not been a season without some missteps and they have lost three games in the league already, but there’s no doubting that they are looking ominous at the moment. Should they win this match and their other game in hand, it looks virtually certain PSG will be celebrating another title.
There were many wondering how Thomas Tuchel could fit in his four star attacking players but the recent signs are at they he’s found a system. At least domestically. PSG have started with all four of Neymar, Mbappe, Icardi and Di Maria of late and they have looked formidable.

Jardim’s position has been filled by Roberto Moreno, the former caretaker and assistant head coach of the Spanish national team. His reign got off to a winning start in the French Cup with a dramatic late winner in added time. His first taste of Ligue 1 could not be tougher, however.

Monaco will feel they are very much in with a chance of finishing third and making it into the qualifiers for next season’s Champions League. And rightly so. They may be in seventh spot at the moment but they are only five points behind Rennes and have a game in hand over most of the teams above them.
