Loftus Road is the venue of my next preview as QPR take on Sheffield United with my betting tips in the Championship for Saturday afternoon’s matches.

QPR appeared to have made some progress under new manager, Steve McClaren, during pre-season as they recorded wins over Staines 7-0, AFC Wimbledon 1-0 and Union Berlin 3-0 along with a 2-2 draw against German Bundesliga side, Hoffenheim.

However, come the start of the new Championship season, and QPR reverted back to their old ways when they lost 1-0 away at Preston North End inn last weekend’s season opener at Deepdale, and this was on the back of three defeats from their last four matches of last term.

This may be a little harsh on QPR whose home record finished up on a reasonable 12-5-6  38/31, but with Mc McClaren now at the helm, I’ll reserve judgement on how QPR will perform this season.

Sheffield United’s story is similar to that of Bristol City in that they ended last season in a slump as The Blades lost two of their last three matches of last season with defeats to Birmingham City and Preston North End.

United’s poor form continued in the early exchanges of this season too as Chris Wilder’s side have suffered back-to-back defeats to Swansea City and Middlesbrough, but a trip to face a QPR outfit who lost their opening  match of the season and whose overall results haven’t been exactly convincing for a long time, this could be the break that Sheffield United need.

Wilder has some key attacking personnel at his disposal in the shape of Leon Clarke, David McGoldrick and Billy Sharp as well as a useful midfield consisting of Fleck, Lundstram and Woodburn.

My betting tips suggest backing Sheffield United with the draw no bet option.
