Queens Park Rangers Preview – Will the Rs extend undefeated run?

Queens Park Rangers are flying high in the Championship table, just seven points behind leaders Fulham. The London side have picked up 15 wins, drawn six and lost seven of 28 league fixtures.

Since suffering back-to-back losses to Stoke City and Bournemouth in December, QPR have bounced back by taking 16 points from a possible 18. The R’s have beaten Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion, Coventry City and Reading since the turn of the year.

After losing at Peterborough United in the fourth round of the FA Cup last weekend, Mark Warburton’s men can turn their full attention to winning promotion to the Premier League. Three points against Boro on Wednesday would be huge.

Middlesbrough Preview – Can in-form Boro leave London with a positive result?

Middlesbrough spent most of the season in and around mid-table under Neil Warnock. Warnock did a good job at the Riverside Stadium, but Chris Wilder has taken Boro to the next level.

Wilder has guided Middlesbrough to seven wins from 11 Championship games to fire them into the play-off picture. Before losing to promotion rivals Blackburn Rovers on 24th January, the North Yorkshire club had won four in a row in the league. They returned to winning ways in their last one, beating Coventry City 1-0.

Fresh from their superb penalty shootout victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup at Old Trafford last weekend, Wilder’s Boro are in high spirits. Can they leave London in midweek with a positive result?

Queens Park Rangers vs Middlesbrough Betting Advice

The pair played out a thriller at the Riverside earlier in the season. QPR left with a 3-2 win, with an own goal and strikes from Lyndon Dykes and Chris Willock doing the business.

The Rs have a good recent record in this fixture, undefeated in five (three wins, two draws). Boro’s last victory over QPR was a 2-0 home success back in February 2019.

Key Facts – Queens Park Rangers vs Middlesbrough Betting Tip

  • QPR have collected 16 points from the last 18 available
  • Middlesbrough have won seven of their past nine in the league
  • Rangers edged a five-goal thriller at the Riverside earlier in the season

QPR and Middlesbrough are two of the form teams in the Championship right now. This is a tough one to call and it could go either way at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, but we fancy Rangers to make home advantage count. Have a punt on the hosts to win by one goal at 3/1.

QPR have some talented strikers, but midfielder Chris Willock has caught the eye with his six Championship goals this season, including the winner against Boro in August. Back the 24-year-old to score anytime at 10/3.
