Onto the Norwegian top flight and a clash between surprise package, Ranheim, and an out of sorts Molde outfit at the EXTRA Arena with the hosts looking to build upon their solid start to the new Eliteserien season.

The hosts are unbeaten in their last four overall, following draws with Valerenga at home and a solid point away from home at Rosenborg, along with back-to-back wins over Odd and Kristiansund, while their home record stands at 3-1-1 13/8, and second best attacking record at home in the division. Midfielder Reginiussen (6 goals) leads the way for the home side.
One of the powerhouses in Norwegian football, Molde, have got this new Eliteserien season off to a slow start as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team currently sit in sixth place and find themselves nine points adrift of early league leaders, Brann, heading into Monday night’s clash in Ranheim.
In his playing days, Solskjaer was known as the ‘baby-faced assassin’ but his players have been anything but in recent times as they’d previously gone four matches without a win in the Eliteserien which included defeats to Odd and Bodo/Glimt, which were both at their Aker Stadion, but they did manage to break their drought with a 2-0 home win over Stromsgodset last time out.
However, results away from home have been tentative at best despite a 1-0 win at Haugesund in their opening away match of the season, as the visitors have since slumped to three matches without a win on their travels.
Ranheim could be playing Molde at just the right time here!
