Schalke 04 come into this clash on the back of a disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Werder Bremen as they look to halt an in-form Leipzig side in their own backyard. Prior to the Werder Bremen defeat, Schalke had previously recorded back-to-back wins against Mainz and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Schalke’s early away record stands at 1-0-3 4/5 which includes defeats at Wolfsburg, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Freiburg already this season, so a trip to Leipzig could be another tough test for the away side.
With just one clean sheet from their last seven away matches though, and a 3-1 loss the last time they visited Leipzig, my betting tips suggest this should be another home win here for the hosts.
