Reading were dealt a fourth defeat in their last five matches in all competitions when they lost 2-0 away at Manchester United in the 3rd round of the FA Cup last weekend, but they return to the more critical situation of attempting to avoid relegation from the Championship this Saturday.

Nottingham Forest bounced back up to 7th place and four points within reach of the play-off pack with a 4-2 home win over Championship league leaders, Leeds United at the City Ground last time out, and although they too suffered a 2-0 defeat away at Premier League opposition in the shape of Chelsea in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, they’ll be looking to build upon that Leeds win in Berkshire today.
The win over Leeds ended a disappointing run of five league matches without a win which included defeats against Preston North End, QPR and Millwall as well as a confidence-sapping 3-3 draw away at Norwich City after leading the hosts 3-0.
Along with Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest continue to be the Championship’s ‘draw specialists’ with no fewer than 12 stalemates to their name so far in this campaign, but they possess a reasonable away record of 3-8-2 which includes just one defeat from their last 10 matches on their travels.
Midfielder Cash (5 goals) along with forwards Grabban (14 goals), Lolley (6 goals) and Murphy (3 goals) should give Forest a decent chance of picking up at least a point here.
