Europe is once again the focus this week, but this time it’s the turn of the Champions League as the group stages continue on Tuesday night with perhaps the pick of the fixtures being a top of Group H clash between Real Madrid and Tottenham at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid.

Tottenham broke their so-called ‘hoodoo’ at Wembley Stadium in the Premier League on the weekend when they squeezed out a 1-0 win over Bournemouth which handed Spurs a fifth win on the trot in all competitions, and extended their unbeaten run to nine matches overall.
They too, hold a 100% winning record in the Champions League in Group H with wins over Borussia Dortmund and APOEL, but Spurs will be mindful that they’ve registered just three away wins from their ten away matches in their Champions League history to date.
They now face Real Madrid in their own backyard and a team which is considered to be among the best in club football in the world right now, and their last visit to the Bernabeu ended in a heavy 4-0 defeat for the north London club.
I think Real Madrid hold that extra gear over Tottenham.
