Sale battled their way to a 40-31 win out at Leicester on the weekend, getting a stiffer test than expected really in that one.
But that was their third straight win and they are rocking and rolling along at the moment in the Premiership.
They have, notably, beaten Wasps and Bristol in that run, two of the other sides battling along for a top-four finish.
So Sale are right there in top form at the moment and they are the 1/4 favourites in the match outright for this contest* (odds taken 23:10 GMT, Tuesday, 8th September).
The last time that they won four on the spin in the Premiership was February 2016 and they have another thought scrap on their hands in midweek to match that.
But the Sharks are in good home form as well, dropping just one of their last five on home turf.
Their only loss in that run of five games at the AJ Bell Stadium (all tournaments) was when league leaders Exeter paid a visit and beat Sale 32-22.
Earlier this season when the two met, Saracens beat Sale 36-22 and the Sharks have struggled in the head to head against Sarries.

There was a bit of a hammering dished out to Saracens last weekend as Wasps visited the Allianz and took a 28-18 win there.
That snapped a three-match winning streak in the league that Sarries had been on.
But for rugby betting here, it is worth noting perhaps that Saracens have lost their last two games against current top-four sides (Wasps and Bristol) all within their last five fixtures.

We need to go back to the head to head as Saracens have only suffered the one defeat in their last nine league fixtures with Sale.
But as mentioned above that was that game in Salford in January last year, the last occasion that Saracens went out on the road to Sale.
Only league leaders Exeter have scored more points this season in the Premiership than Saracens have, and they are averaging 26.7 points per game.
