The Italian top flight resumes this weekend and Sunday evening brings us a top half clash in Serie A between Sampdoria and Sassuolo as the betting tips continue at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in Genova.
Sampdoria currently occupy fifth place in Serie A but all three points this evening would see them move up into third spot ahead of Inter Milan, and having recorded recent back-to-back wins against SPAL and Atalanta, the hosts will be confident that they can register a third consecutive win here.
Sampdoria’s early results at home this season have been a little inconsistent as their record stands at 2-1-1 6/3 but they’ve already recorded a convincing 3-0 win over second placed Napoli which proves they’re no slouches. Forwards Defrel (5 goals), Caprari and Quagliarella (2 goals apiece) are the hosts main goal threats.
Sassuolo have made a reasonable start to their new Serie A campaign as they occupy 8th place on the Italian top flight league ladder, but they head over to Genova on the back of two defeats on the trot to AC Milan 4-1 at home and a 2-0 loss away at Napoli.
The visitors have chalked up four league wins so far this season but three of these have been registered at their MAPEI Stadium – Città del Tricolore while it’s just one away win so far this term which was achieved at bottom half SPAL 2-0.
An away record of 1-1-2 5/6 also includes defeats at Juventus and the aforementioned Napoli, and a trip to high-flying Sampdoria may well cause Sassuolo further problems this evening.
