San Marino Preview – Can San Marino avoid heavy defeat?
San Marino’s woes continued in their Group 2 opener against Gibraltar as they suffered a 1-0 defeat away from home and although they now return to their Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle for this upcoming clash against Liechtenstein, the hosts look doomed to fail again.
That defeat against Gibraltar became San Marino’s 38th straight defeat on the trot while the hosts possess a staggeringly poor overall record of results as they’ve failed to win any of their last 43 matches in all competitions – which consists of 42 losses, with the other result being a 0-0 draw at home with Estonia back in November 2014.
