Shamrock Rovers Preview – Will Rovers pick up their form and put together another winning run?
Shamrock Rovers ended a nine year wait for a Premier Division title when winning finishing top last year and doing so in style as they went the full season unbeaten. It may have been a shortened campaign but they were by far the best team and Stephen Bradley will be looking to follow that success up by retaining their title. Rovers are in second spot just now and a point behind Sligo Rovers. Midfielder Daniel Mandroiu has had an impressive start to the season having moved from Bohemians during the close season. His performances also earned him his senior international call-up for the Republic of Ireland as he was on the bench for the win over Andorra last week.
Finn Harps Preview – Can Finns continue their good away form and pick up points against their champions?
Finn Harps will be relatively content with their current positon of sixth but there will also be feeling they could be even better off. One of the more provincial clubs in Ireland, Finns have finished ninth and eighth in their two seasons since winning promotion to the top-flight back in 2018 so if they can improve on those placings then it will be a decent campaign.
Ollie Horgan has been in charge of the club for over seven years so he’s seen it all and is vastly experienced. He also won’t be phased by the club’s recent run of results which has seen them win only one of their last six.

The major disappointment for Finns is their home form this season. Having won their first two at home against Bohemians and Waterford, they’ve taken only one point from their last five home games. In contrast, they have been impressive on their travels losing only two of their seven away games.
