Sheffield United Prediction – Can Sheffield Utd frustrate Liverpool?
Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United side have made a good early impression in this season’s Premier League as the newly-promoted side currently occupy a mid-table position of 12th place in the English top flight, winning, drawing losing twice to date this term.
Sheffield United have been particularly solid away from home as The Blades have yet to lose on their travels with a win at Everton in a 2-0 victory at Goodison Park being the standout highlight for the Yorkshire club so far in this campaign.
At Bramall Lane, Sheffield United’s season got off to a great start with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace but they’ve since suffered back-to-back defeats at home to Leicester City 2-1 and a 1-0 loss to Southampton which were disappointing results for Wilder & co.
To avoid defeat to this strong Liverpool side will be a challenge but although Sheffield United’s defeats were disappointing, they were at least close. For this pick, we don’t even need The Blades to win or draw – we just need them to avoid a heavy defeat (by 3 goals or more).

Liverpool Prediction – Can Liverpool keep winning?
The answer to this question is a probable ‘yes’ but it may not be as easy as a lot of people think at Bramall Lane this Saturday against a pumped-up Sheffield United side and their noisy fans roaring them on as Bramall Lane isn’t the easiest of grounds to get a result from.
That said, Liverpool grabbed their sixth win on the trot in this season’s Premier League campaign last weekend with a 2-1 win away at Chelsea which in turn preserved their 5-point cushion at the top of the table ahead of rivals, Manchester City.
Liverpool have in fact won their last 15 matches on the trot overall in the Premier League while it’s seven on the trot away from home for The Reds, so this lunchtime clash won’t be easy for Sheffield United either despite holding home advantage.
But despite Liverpool’s recent dominance and impressive results wherever they seem to play, the visitors have won by 3+ goals in just 3 of their last 28 matches on the road in the top flight, and their hosts have enough about them to avoid just folding and suffering a thrashing.
