SOLIHULL MOORS v CHESTER

Football – England – National League Betting Tips

On the domestic front, there’s just the one game being played in the National League on Tuesday night, but this looks to be an important and dare I say, early, relegation battle at the foot of the table with second from bottom Solihull Moors taking on fourth from bottom Chester.

Solihull come into this clash on the back of two consecutive defeats in the non-league top flight with losses to Tranmere Rovers at home and Saturday’s defeat at Aldershot Town, and indeed, Moors have lost three of their last four matches overall.

Their one success during this early bleak period was a 2-1 win at bottom club Torquay United, but tonight’s hosts are still waiting for their first win of this new season at their Damson Park ground. Indeed, home form has been pretty poor of late as they’ve gained just one win from their last ten on home turf.

Visitors Chester sit two league places and three points ahead of their hosts ahead of their trip down to the midlands, and they’ll take heart from their point away at Torquay United in the weekend’s 1-1 draw at Plainmoor, as well as their recent 2-1 win at high-flying Aldershot Town a couple of weeks ago.

In fact, Chester still remain unbeaten away from home albiet in these early weeks of the new National League season, but a solid point away at newly relegated Hartlepool United in their first away match of the season would have been considered a solid result.

Chester hold an away record of  1-2-0  4/3 and they look to be better equipped to take something from this match than their hosts who look to be up against it already this term.
