Asian Cup Betting at Marathonbet

South Korea Prediction

South Korea were among one of the favourites to lift the Asian Cup and so far they’ve lived up to their billing as they’ve reached the knockout stages of the competition with ease after finishing top of Group C with the maximum nine-point haul following three group wins on the trot.

The South Koreans have certainly laid a marker in the ground so to speak after recording relatively straightforward wins against Philippines 1-0, Kyrgyzstan 1-0 and group runners-up, China 2-0. South Korea have therefore won all matches to nil to date which now takes their unbeaten run in all competitions to an impressive 11 matches.

The goals are most likely to come from Hwang Ui-jo and Kim Min-Jae (2 goals apiece)

Key-Facts – South Korea v Bahrain

  • South Korea are unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions
  • South Korea have yet to concede a goal in this year’s Asian Cup
  • Bahrain have lost just once in their last 6 matches in all competitions

Bahrain Prediction

Bahrain finished in third place in Group A behind group winners United Arab Emirates and runners-up Thailand, but gained qualification into the knockout phase by virtue of being one of the best third place finishers at the end of the group stage.

Bahrain have produced a mixed set of results during the group stages as they started with a creditable point against the UAE in a 1-1 draw but then suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Thailand before finishing strongly with a 1-0 win over bottom nation India.

Prior to the start of the Asian Cup, Bahrain had registered three wins on the trot with international friendly wins gained over Tajikistan, Lebanon and North Korea which gave them a good platform and confidence ahead of this year’s Asian Cup.

Forward Mohamed Al Romaihi looks to be Bahrain’s biggest goal threat up front.

Betting Tips Verdict

South Korea know they’re in for a tough battle against Bahrain though if previous meetings are to go by; the two nations have played each other on four previous occasions with South Korea winning two, Bahrain one and one stalemate. I’ll therefore back both teams to score here.
