Spain Preview – Can La Roja get their hands on the trophy?
Spain edged out Germany in the race for top spot in Group A4 to get to the finals in Italy. Luis Enrique’s men picked up three wins, drew twice and suffered just one defeat. Along the way, La Roja thumped the Germans 6-0.
In the semi-final, Spain took on UEFA Euro 2020 winners and tournament hosts Italy in the San Siro in Milan. Ferran Torres was the hero for Luis Enrique’s team, scoring two goals in the first period to give La Roja a deserved 2-1 win.
Spain upset the Italians on Wednesday and will be hoping to do the same to France this Sunday. At the time of writing, the Spaniards are available at 19/10 to win in the 90.
France Preview – Les Bleus to edge tight affair?
Didier Deschamps’ France booked their spot in Italy after finishing top of Group A3. The French hardly put a foot wrong against Portugal, Croatia and Sweden, collecting 16 points from 18 on offer. They drew with Portugal at home last October and won the rest.
France were paired with Belgium in the second semi-final of the 2021 Nations League. They found themselves 2-0 down at half time but were a different team in the second period. Goals from Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe and Theo Hernandez earned Les Blues a stunning 3-2 win. Hernandez’s winner came in injury time just after VAR had ruled out a Belgium goal for offside.

Spain vs France Betting Advice
This will be the first meeting between these two European giants since they locked horns in a friendly in March 2017, which Spain won 2-0 thanks to goals from David Silva and Gerard Deulofeu.
The last competitive meeting between the pair was in 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying. After a 1-1 draw on Spanish soil in October 2012, Spain won 1-0 in France, with Pedro getting the only goal of the game just before the hour mark.
Key Facts – Spain vs France Betting Tip
- The last competitive meeting between these two was back in March 2013
- Both teams won their semi-finals by a one-goal margin
- France have won just one of the previous seven meetings
This final between two in-form European heavyweights has all the makings of being a real mouth-watering affair. Both nations will be in high spirits after the semis, and it could go either way in Milan. However, we fancy France to nick the victory – back Les Bleus to win by one goal at 3/1. We also like the look of 9/2 for the France win and both teams to score.
