The action in London at the ATP World Tour Finals moves on to the second round of fixtures in the round-robin stage.

There is a pressure on both of these as they respectively lost their opening matches of the tournament.

So survival in the event is up for grabs here and the bookmakers have been unable to split these two as well.

It could get a bit tense in London on Tuesday as the players look to keep themselves alive in the group.

Stefanos Tsitsipas Preview – Can Tsitsipas respond?

There were question marks over the full fitness of Greek star Stefanos Tsitisipas coming into the ATP Finals.

That’s because he suffered a leg problem last week at the ATP Paris Masters and made an early exit.

But he looked fine for his opening match in London as he really pushed this year’s US Open champion, Dominic Thiem, hard.

Tsitsipas let the first set slip only via a tight tiebreaker, before responding by taking the second set.

But he couldn’t sustain things and lost the final set.

That match was a repeat of last season’s final at this event, in which Tsitsipas was the winner on the day.

So that opener against Thiem was a tough fixture for Tsitsipas and he is at 10/11 to get the better of Rublev on Tuesday* (odds taken 04:27 GMT Monday, 17th November).

Our betting prediction:

It is worth seeing what the head to head between the two players says about that.

Well, unfortunately there is nothing to split them there, having met four times and shared two wins each.

Two of those meetings were this year with Rublev winning in Germany before Tsitipas exacted some revenge with a quarter final win at the French Open.

Those were both clay court matches.

Back in 2017 they did meet indoors outside of the main ATP Tour and Tsitsipas lost that over three sets.

We see the big pressure playing a part in this being a tight contest.

3 Sets Total is a 5/4 tennis betting option* (odds taken 04:27 GMT Monday, 17th November).

Andrey Rublev Preview -Can Rublev pick himself up?

There was a tough opener at the ATP World Tour Finals for Andrey Rublev as well, as he was up against Rafael Nadal.

It was a straight sets defeat for Rublev in that one, as he faced a Nadal who was in a bit of a ruthless mood.

Rublev can be selected at 10/11 as well to pick up the victory in this must-win match on Tuesday* (odds taken 04:27 GMT Monday, 17th November).

Starting with a run to the Hamburg Open Finals in late September, Rublev has been carrying good form.

He went to the quarterfinals of the French Open in October and then straight after won the title at the St Petersburg Open.

It’s worth noting that no player on the ATP this season won more matches that Rublev did (ahead of the ATP Finals).

No player earned more titles than the Russian either.

While he did come up a long way short against Nadal on Sunday, we expect a big response from him.

Andrey Rublev has a good chance in this one after having seen Tsistipas taken to three sets in his opener.

At least Rublev’s heavy defeat against saw him get on and off the court quickly.

We have to think that this is going to be close and a Rublev 2-1 in set betting gets the nod from us for tennis betting at 7/2* (odds taken 04:27 GMT Monday, 17th November).

Whatever the outcome, this looks like being a superb match.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Andrey Rublev Betting Advice

So there didn’t look to be anything wrong with the fitness of last year’s ATP Finals champions Tsitsipas.

He just couldn’t hold on in the final set against the in-form Thiem, which is no disgrace.

But we did see the form of Tsitsipas visibly fade in that deciding set.

That is why we are going to go against the Greek player and back a win for Rublev at the 10/11 match outright odds* (odds taken 04:27 GMT Monday, 17th November).

Key Facts – Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Andrey Rublev Betting Tip

  • Stefanos Tsitsipas lost his opening match in 3 sets against Dominic Thiem
  • Stefanos Tsitsipas is the reining ATP Finals champion
  • Andrey Rublev lost in straight sets against Rafa Nadal in his opener

It’s hard to gauge Rublev based on that one match against Nadal. Nadal was in one of his unplayable moods and fresh as well, so Rublev can scratch that.

His tournament really starts here now and we feel that the young Russian can step up.

He did win that one indoor match against Tsitsipas that they played in 2017.

We think this is tight and therefore the 2-1 Set Betting for Rublev looks value at 7/2* (odds taken 04:27 GMT Monday, 17th November).
