Thomas Frank’s Brentford head to the bet365 Stadium on an outstanding eight-game winning run in the EFL Championship. The Bees will be hoping to take the race for the top two to the final day of the Championship season. Stoke City are currently five points clear of the bottom three. We have the latest and greatest betting odds for this huge Championship fixture.

Stoke City Preview – Can the Potters shock the Bees at the bet365?

Not too long ago, Stoke City were an established Premier League club, but the Potters have had a woeful last couple of the years in the Championship. Stoke have spent all season in and around the bottom three, but they should live to fight another day in the second tier.

City start the weekend five points clear of 22nd-place Hull City. Below the Potters are Middlesbrough, Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town and Charlton Athletic, so Stoke are certainly in pole position to survive. In fact, Michael O’Neill’s men are priced at 20/1 for relegation.

Our betting prediction:
Brentford to score 3+ goals
5/2

Since a thumping 5-0 defeat at Leeds United, which was a third loss in four, Stoke have responded by beating Birmingham 2-0 and drawing 1-1 with Bristol City. However, they arguably have the two toughest games out of any of the struggling sides. After playing Brentford, City end their season with a trip to Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

Brentford Preview – Brilliant Bees to make it nine wins on the spin?

Brentford have been a joy to watch at times in the Championship this season. They will be ruing a poor start, though, as the Bees could have easily been promoted by now. At the time of writing, the Londoners are a point behind West Bromwich Albion and six points adrift of leaders Leeds United.

Since letting a 2-0 lead slip to draw 2-2 with Cardiff City in South Wales back in February, Thomas Frank’s men have not put a foot wrong. The Bees have won each of their last eight in the Championship, scoring 20 and conceding just two.

In midweek, Brentford made it eight wins on the spin with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Preston North End in the penultimate game at Griffin Park. The Bees have kept Leeds and West Brom honest at the top, but they could just come up short in the race for automatic promotion. All Brentford eyes will be on Friday’s fixture between Huddersfield Town and the Baggies at the John Smith’s Stadium.

If Brentford do miss out on automatic promotion, nobody will want to face them in the play-offs. As the London side get ready to move into a brand-new stadium, these are certainly exciting times for the Bees supporters. Will they see their team line up against the Premier League’s best next term?

Stoke City vs Brentford Betting Advice

Brentford have been unstoppable lately, and they should cruise past Stoke at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday. The reverse game ended in a 0-0 draw at Griffin Park back in September, but I’m backing Brentford to secure an easy victory in the Potteries.

Key Facts – Stoke City vs Brentford Betting Tip

  • Stoke have won six of their last eight at home
  • Brentford have taken maximum points from the last 24 on offer
  • The Bees have the best home record, while only West Brom, Leeds and Forest have taken more away points

Six of those eight wins have come with shutouts. Put some money on Brentford to win to nil on Saturday at 7/4. Also, there’s good value in 7/2 for the away team to win both halves of this one.
