Stoke City Preview – Can the Potters make home advantage count?

Michael O’Neill’s Stoke City have made a solid start to their season. After a couple of poor years in the Championship after relegation from the Premier League, the Potters finally look ready for a promotion challenge.

Stoke have won seven of their opening 15 league matches, drawing four and losing four of the other eight. Ahead of this round of fixtures, City are just three points behind leaders Norwich City. After going two games without a win, O’Neill’s side got back to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Wycombe Wanderers in midweek.

Our betting prediction:

Stoke have been pretty formidable at home this season, but they were beaten by Norwich in their last fixture at the bet365. Prior to that, City had won three home league matches on the spin. Can they return to winning ways on their own patch this Saturday?

Middlesbrough Preview – Warnock’s men to leave the bet365 with a point?

After a narrow 1-0 defeat at Watford on the opening weekend, Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough went on a ten-game unbeaten streak, winning four and drawing six. However, they have lost two of the last four.

After defeats to Norwich and Huddersfield Town, and a win over bottom club Derby County in their previous three, Middlesbrough picked up an excellent home victory over high-flying Swansea City on Wednesday night. Duncan Watmore netted twice to give Boro a 2-1 win at the Riverside Stadium.

The experienced Warnock has made his side hard to beat this term, but Middlesbrough have picked up just one away win all season. Can the club from North Yorkshire leave the Potteries with something to show for their efforts this weekend?

Stoke City vs Middlesbrough Betting Advice

Ashley Fletcher and Marcus Tavernier were on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win for Middlesbrough at the bet365 back in June when the pair last met. Boro also won the reverse game at the Riverside in December ’19, with Fletcher and Lewis Wing on target in that one.

Key Facts – Stoke City vs Middlesbrough Betting Tip
