Swansea return to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon to take on QPR as further betting tips are available in the Championship this weekend.
After what was a solid start to The Swans new Championship campaign following relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season, they’ve since slumped to just one win from their last five matches overall as the hosts still seem to be feeling their way in the second tier.
Swansea started this season with back-to-back wins over Sheffield United and Preston North End and new manager, Graham Potter must have thought this was easy, and although they also picked up points in draws with Birmingham City and Leeds United, the harsh realities of Championship football now seem to have kicked in.
The hosts have managed just one win from their last five which was a 2-1 win at Millwall but defeats against Bristol City and Stoke City should see them focus on home turf here. Worryingly, Swansea have failed to score in their last three league matches.
Onto QPR and the London club are the epitome of inconsistency as they started the campaign under new manager Steve McClaren with four defeats on the trot; losses to Preston North End, Sheffield United, a 7-1 thrashing by West Brom and a heavy 3-0 loss to Bristol City may have had the alarm bells ringing at Loftus Road.
However, The R’s then bounced back with wins over Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Millwall along with a point away at Birmingham City as McClaren’s side had seemingly turned a corner.
But a 1-0 loss at home to Norwich City last Saturday sees them back to square one again with a tricky trip to Wales for this Saturday’s clash with Swansea City.
There appears to be no clear winner here, so my betting tips suggest backing Swansea City with the handicap in this one.
