Swansea City Preview – Swans to see off the Robins?
Swansea City crashed to a shock 4-1 defeat to lowly Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium last weekend. However, Steve Cooper’s men hit back with a crucial 1-0 home win over Coventry City in midweek.
The high-flying Swans have been superb at the Liberty Stadium this season, picking up an impressive ten Championship victories on home soil. City have only been beaten once at home in the league all season, with that sole defeat coming to Huddersfield on 17th October.
Swansea, who lost in the play-offs last season, have put themselves in a great position to take one of the automatic places. Failing that, at the very least the Welsh club should finish in the top six once again. Can they put another massive three points on the board this weekend?
Bristol City Preview – Can Pearson start with a positive result?
Paul Simpson oversaw Bristol City’s impressive victory at the Riverside Stadium in midweek. Famara Diedhiou was excellent, scoring two goals in the first half. City were 3-0 up at half time, with Nahki Wells also getting on the scoresheet.
The midweek win at Middlesbrough stopped a run of seven straight league and cup defeats. Dean Holden made a good start, but last Saturday’s 1-0 home loss to Barnsley was the final nail in the coffin for the 41-year-old. The experienced Nigel Pearson is the new man in charge at Ashton Gate.

The players will want to impress their new boss but getting anything from Saturday’s trip to the Liberty Stadium will be a tough assignment for Pearson’s boys. The bookies have the Robins as 4/1 underdogs.
