Swansea City Preview – In-form Swans to progress in the cup?
Steve Cooper’s Swansea City are in sensational form at present. Since a 2-0 league defeat at Derby County in mid-December, the Welsh side have gone on to win five and draw one of their following six league and cup fixtures.
At the time of writing, Swansea are in second spot in the Championship table. Cooper’s men are having a fine season, winning 13 of their opening 24 league matches. Last time out, City beat Barnsley 2-0 at Oakwell to extend their undefeated run.
In the third round of the FA Cup, Swansea beat Stevenage away from home. Wayne Routledge opened the scoring in the seventh minute, with Viktor Gyokeres doubling their advantage five minutes after half time in the eventual 2-0 triumph.
