They then came from two down to draw 2-2 with Sheffield United at Deepdale in midweek.
Preston were tipped by many for relegation this season, but they have done enough to keep themselves away from the bottom three. Frankie McAvoy was sacked after some poor results, but Lowe looks a good fit for North End.
