Accrington Stanley v Swindon Town Betting Tips: BTTS, 2017-12-09

League One/Two Tips
ACCRINGTON STANLEY v SWINDON TOWN Saturday 9th December 2017 - Kickoff: 1500hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips Onto League Two, and Accrington Stanley will be wanting to hold onto their automatic promotion spot on Saturday afternoon when they take on 8th placed Swindon Town at their Wham Stadium. Having suffered recent back-to-back defeats away from home in recent times following a 2-0 loss at high-flying Exeter city in the league and a 3-2 loss at Lincoln City in the Football Trophy, Stanley will no doubt be looking forward to home advantage again, especially as they’ve won three of their last four on home turf. Wins over Coventry City, Barnet and Wycombe Wanderers have helped lift John Coleman’s side into one of the automatic promotion spots, and with a fairly solid home record of  6-2-2  17/9 behind them, and the likes of Kee (10 goals) and Jackson (7 goals) up front, they should do well here. Visitors Swindon Town have had a reasonable start to their League Two campaign as they sit in 8th  place and on the fringes of the play-off pack ahead of their trip up north to Accrington this Saturday. Indeed, The Robins are level on points with play-off pack incumbents Mansfield Town and Coventry City, so there’s plenty of incentive to get a result in this one. Swindon come into this encounter on the back of two straight defeats to Grimsby Town and Newport County, but they’ve won the most away games so far in this League Two season amidst an overall record of  7-0-3  19/9. Forwards Norris (8 goals) and Anderson (4 goals) should also cause Accrington’s defence some problems as they look to break into the play-off pack. Pick: Both teams to score @ 1.76 Unibet

Accrington Stanley v Newport County Betting Tips: 1 AH0, 2017-11-18

League One/Two Tips
ACCRINGTON STANLEY v NEWPORT COUNTY Saturday 18th November 2017 - Kickoff: 1500hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips Accrington Stanley return to league action on Saturday afternoon following their shock FA Cup exit to non-leaguers, Guiseley, during the week, and the hosts will be keen to return to winning ways against Newport County this afternoon no doubt. Accrington Stanley were dumped out of the cup by Guiseley on penalties, but they have a three match unbeaten run in League Two where they sit in second place and just one point behind league leaders, Notts County, heading into this weekend’s action. Promotion to League One is manager John Coleman’s priority this season, and his side are in pretty solid form at their Wham Stadium in the league with a record of  5-1-2  15/8 which includes recent back-to-back wins over Coventry City and Barnet. Look out for striker Kee (10 goals) today, as he’ll be looking to make amends for missing one of the penalties during the week. Visitors Newport County were held to a 1-1 draw last weekend by a resurgent Port Vale outfit at Rodney Parade, which extended their run of matches without a win in League Two to four as they make their way up to Accrington looking to break this recent ordinary set of results. The Exiles also drew 1-1 with Mansfield Town at home as well as defeats to Colchester United (at home) and an away loss at Notts County 3-0, while their results away from home in general have been inconsistent so far this season. Newport possess an away record of  3-2-4  13/14 so far this season, and although they’ve collected wins at Coventry City, Crawley Town and Forest Green Rovers (the latter two opponents being in the bottom half of the division), they’ve also suffered defeats at Exeter City, Morecambe, Luton Town and Notts County. Pick: Accrington Stanley AH0 @ 1.61 Bet Victor

Accrington Stanley v Guiseley Betting Tips: 1 AH-1, 2017-11-14

FA Cup & League Cup Tips
ACCRINGTON STANLEY v GUISELEY Tuesday 14th November 2017 - Kickoff: 1945hrs Football - England - FA Cup Betting Tips Accrington Stanley and Guiseley meet for the second time in 10 days as they feature in this FA Cup first round replay at the Wham Stadium on Tuesday night following a 0-0 draw last time out. Accrington Stanley are now seemingly in the driving seat ahead of the replay, not only because they hold home advantage, but Stanley have put together a five match unbeaten run going into this cup replay having recorded wins over Crewe Alexandra and Barnet in League Two as well as a resounding 4-0 win away at League One side, Wigan Athletic, in the Football Trophy. Accrington have also registered recent back-to-back wins on home turf with league wins over Coventry City and the aforementioned Barnet, and manager, John Coleman, has various attacking options open to him such as a potent forward line consisting of Kee (10 goals), Jackson (7 goals), along with Clark and McConville (4 goals apiece. Visitors Guiseley had also put together a useful run of six matches without defeat prior to the weekend’s 1-0 loss at home to Bromley in the National League, and they now face an uphill task of overcoming an in-form Accrington Stanley, especially considering their recent results away from home. Guiseley have recorded just one win from their last 11 on their travels, which was a 3-2 win at Woking, and whilst their results have improved in the past few matches (three draws and a win), they had previously suffered five defeats from the previous six matches beforehand. In addition, Guiseley don’t possess the same quality in attack as Accrington, and this should become evident in Tuesday night’s cup replay. Pick: Accrington Stanley AH-1 @ 1.72 Bet Victor

Accrington Stanley v Cheltenham Town Betting Tips: 1, 2017-09-23

League One/Two Tips
ACCRINGTON STANLEY v CHELTENHAM TOWN Saturday 23rd September 2017 - Kickoff: 1500hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips Accrington Stanley will be going in search of a fourth home win from five matches on Saturday afternoon when they play host to lowly Cheltenham Town at their Wham Stadium, which in turn could also lift them up into second spot in League Two. Stanley have made an impressive start to the new League Two season as they currently occupy third place and have shown early encouraging form on home turf as well having secured wins over Colchester United, Mansfield Town and Carlisle United amidst an overall record of  3-0-1  9/4. The goals have been fairly flying in too, and along with Luton Town, Accrington are the league’s highest goal-scorers to date. They did lose last time out on home turf to Grimsby Town, but with the likes of strikers Kee and Jackson (5 goals apiece) on fire, the home side should bounce back today. Visitors Cheltenham Town have made a much more circumspect start to their new campaign as they’ve collected just two league wins from their first eight matches played overall, with both wins coming at their Whaddon Road ground with victories over Crawley Town and Colchester United. However, it’s one thing to win at home against fellow bottom half opposition, but an entirely different prospect in a long trip up north to face an in-form and confident Accrington Stanley who are flying high at the moment. The Robins have earned just one point from the last possible 12 on offer on the road thanks to a 0-0 draw at Yeovil Town, but defeats at Morecambe, Carlisle United and Newport County suggest they could struggle again this afternoon against superior opposition. Pick: Accrington Stanley to win @ 2.20 William Hill

Accrington Stanley v Carlisle United Betting Tips: Over 2.5, 2017-09-09

League One/Two Tips
ACCRINGTON STANLEY v CARLISLE UNITED Saturday 9th September 2017 - Kickoff: 1500hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips Accrington Stanley will be looking to maintain their 100% winning record at home on Saturday when they entertain Carlisle United at their Wham Stadium as the hosts seek to remain in the top three of League Two. It’s still early days of course, but John Coleman’s team have made a good start to the new season as they sit in third spot and have already won both of their opening two matches at home this term with wins over Colchester United and Mansfield Town. In addition, Stanley secured their first away win of the season last Saturday with a 2-1 win at Morecambe, so confidence is likely to be high in the hosts’ dressing room. Goals have also been flowing with forwards Jackson (4 goals) and Kee (3 goals) getting amongst the early scoring charts. Visitors Carlisle United drew 1-1 with pre-season promotion candidates Mansfield Town at Brunton Park last Saturday, and they now face a difficult looking task of keeping Accrington Stanley quiet on their home turf this Saturday afternoon. Carlisle have returned a mixed bag of results so far in these early weeks of the new League Two campaign with wins over Cambridge United and Cheltenham Town, but these have been offset by defeats to Swindon Town and Lincoln City. But goals have never been very far away where Carlisle are concerned, especially away from home, as The Cumbrians have been involved in matches resulting in over 2.5 goals scored in each of their last five away games. I think we’ll see more goals in this afternoon’s encounter too! Pick: Over 2.5 @ 1.75 Bet Victor

Carlisle v Accrington Betting Tips: 1 AH-0.25, 2016-09-03

League One/Two Tips
CARLISLE UNITED v ACCRINGTON STANLEY Saturday 3rd September 2016 - Kickoff: 1500hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips Carlisle United will be keen to maintain their unbeaten start to their new League Two season when they entertain an out-of-sorts Accrington Stanley unit at Brunton Park on Saturday afternoon, and indeed, three points today could see them jump into an early automatic promotion spot. Carlisle have been solid so far in this new term as they’ve gained wins over Plymouth Argyle and Barnet along with earning points against Portsmouth, Cheltenham Town and Cambridge United, while their early home record stands at  1-1-0  2/1. The Cumbrians are unbeaten in their last six matches in League Two and they look in good shape ahead of their clash with lowly Accrington Stanley here, and keep an eye out for striker Ibehre who is expected to bang in the goals for the home side this season. Visitors Accrington Stanley haven’t enjoyed the best of starts in this new League Two season as they sit fifth from bottom in the English fourth tier having lost three of their last four matches overall; defeats to Barnet, Exeter City and Morecambe have resulted in John Coleman’s side residing in the bottom reaches of the division. Accrington are without an away win to date in this new term with a record of  0-1-1  1/3 on the back of a 2-0 loss at Barnet although they did improve at their last trip away at Wycombe Wanderers as they earned a point in a 2-2 draw. The danger men up front are strikers Kee, McConville and Gornell, but if Carlisle can keep them quiet they’ll go a long way to securing the points here today i feel. Pick: Carlisle United AH-0.25 @ 1.73 Unibet

Accrington v Wimbledon Betting Tips: 1 AH-0.25, 2016-05-18

League One/Two Tips
ACCRINGTON v AFC WIMBLEDON Wednesday 18th May 2016 - Kickoff: 1945hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips It’s advantage AFC Wimbledon as we head into the League Two Play-Off semi-final second leg as The Wombles sneaked a last-minute winner to send the home fans crazy at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, but they’ve only done half a job. Accrington Stanley now have home advantage behind them here on Wednesday evening at their Store First Stadium where they finished up the regular season with a solid home record of  11-9-3  43/30, and experiencing just one defeat in their last 16 matches on home turf. Accrington hold a record of  3-5-3  15/17 at home against top half opposition, and they’re unbeaten in their last four in these situations along with scoring at least once in each game against such opposition. Striker Billy Kee (17 goals) is the home side’s main threat up front. AFC Wimbledon will have been mightily relieved to have edged ahead in this two-legged tie as they make the long trip up north from London on the back of a 1-0 win from the opening leg a few days ago. Wimbledon secured a seventh win from their last nine matches in League Two with that last-gasp win in the first leg, and they do hold a reasonable away record of  10-8-5  34/25 on the road in this division, but their record at top half teams reads a more modest  4-4-3  16/14. But the one factor that may go against AFC Wimbledon this evening is the fact that they’ve kept just two clean sheets in their last nine away matches, and their defence will be severely tested on Wednesday night with Accrington up for this return leg. Pick: Accrington AH-0.25 @ 1.80 bet365

Accrington v Leyton O Betting Tips: BTTS, 2016-03-25

League One/Two Tips
ACCRINGTON STANLEY v LEYTON ORIENT Friday 25th March 2016 - Kickoff: 1500hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips Next up is a top half clash in League Two between fifth placed Accrington Stanley and seventh placed Leyton Orient at the Store First Stadium on Good Friday between two teams that have serious promotion ambitions. Looking at Accrington first, and they have made impressive progress under the guidance of manager John Coleman since his appointment midway through last season, as he has turned them from a battling bottom half outfit into serious promotion candidates. Just two defeats from their last 11 matches overall in League Two underlines their current form, along with a home record of  9-6-3  36/27 but it’s interesting to note that both teams have scored in 16 of Accrington’s 18 home matches to date this season. Striker Billy Kee (16 goals) is their leading goalscorer. Visitors Leyton Orient have also been in good form recently having secured back-to-back League Two wins over Oxford United and Morecambe respectively as they make their way up north for this important Good Friday clash. The O’s have lost just once in their last six overall, while their away record reads a rather resilient-looking  7-7-4  25/24 and they’ve won four of their last five on their travels following wins at Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth, Notts County and Oxford United. Both teams have scored in 12 of Leyton Orient’s 18 away matches, with O’s former Hull City striker Jay Simpson (23 goals) enjoying prolific goalscoring form for the visitors since his free transfer from Buriram United. Pick: Both teams to score @ 1.83 Comeon

Accrington v Hartlepool Betting Tips: Both teams to score, 2016-01-19

League One/Two Tips
ACCRINGTON STANLEY v HARTLEPOOL UNITED Tuesday 19th January 2016 - Kickoff: 1945hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips Accrington Stanley haven’t played a League Two match since 2nd January this year when they beat Mansfield Town 3-2 away from home, and no doubt they’ll be keen to get their season back on track tonight when they host struggling Hartlepool United. Accrington still remain in the play-off pack despite their recent lack of action as they look to take advantage of their five matches behind some teams above them, but they’ll be playing catch-up for the next few weeks starting this evening. Stanley have won three of their last five with wins over Cambridge United, York City and Mansfield Town while their home record stands at  4-3-2  18/15. It’s interesting to note that 8 of Accrington’s 9 home matches to date have resulted in both teams hitting the back of the net, and given Accrington’s lack of action recently, this evening’s clash could also go the same way. Visitors Hartlepool United have been involved in FA Cup action in the last few weeks as they beat National League outfit Cheltenham Town, followed by a victory over Salford City before falling victim to Championship side Derby County 2-1 at Victoria Park in the third round. Pools now return to League Two action tonight as they look to pull away from the bottom two in the division and also build upon their 1-0 win over play-off candidates Wycombe Wanderers last time out. Hartlepool’s away record stands at a below-par  3-0-7  8/18 and they’ve lost four of their last five matches on the road with defeats at Northampton Town, AFC Wimbledon, Mansfield Town and Portsmouth, so they’ll also be keen for a good showing tonight. Pick: Both teams to score @ 1.85 Bet Victor

Accrington v Notts Co Betting Tips: 1 AH-0.25, 2016-01-09

League One/Two Tips
ACCRINGTON STANLEY v NOTTS COUNTY Saturday 9th January 2016 - Kickoff: 1500hrs Football - England - League Two Betting Tips Accrington Stanley registered a very handy 3-2 win away at Mansfield Town last weekend which maintained this afternoon’s hosts’ position in the play-off pack in League Two. However, they will need to continue this momentum into today’s clash with Notts County as Stanley  only occupy the last remaining play-off spot as the season starts to hot up and competition for places becomes fiercer. Accrington’s home record stands at a reasonable  4-3-2  18/15 and three points today could see them leapfrog Wycombe Wanderers who are in FA Cup action against Aston Villa. Accrington strikers Kee and McConville look the likely anytime goalscorers for the hosts. Visitors Notts County have now gone four matches without a win in League Two following draws with Wycombe Wanderers and Morecambe as well as defeats to Carlisle United and Oxford United. As a result, The Magpies have slumped to 17th place in the division as they have depended on their home form so far to keep them out of any relegation worries until now. However, their away form has been less impressive as they’ve gone ten matches without a win amidst an overall record of  1-4-6  11/22. In addition, County have kept just two clean sheets on their travels so far this season which is not a good sign when you’re travelling away to a side occupying a play-off position. To sum up, I believe Accrington should win here today but I recommend giving the quarter-ball as extra insurance against a possible draw. Pick: Accrington Stanley AH-0.25 @ 1.62 Bet Victor
