Tottenham continued their impressive winning streak in the Premier League on Sunday when they registered a 3-1 win over Leicester City to keep the pressure on the two leading clubs at the tiop of the division, Liverpool and Manchester City who both sit on 65 points apiece.
Tottenham rode their luck a little as Lloris saved a penalty from Jamie Vardy but Spurs got the job done to earn a fourth straight win in the Premier League. Previous wins over Fulham, Watford and Newcastle United were all without their leading goalscorer, Harry Kane but Son (11 goals) has stepped in with a goal in each of his last three matches on his return from the Asian Cup.
Back to the Champions league and Tottenham edged out Italian outfit Inter Milan for the all-important second place in Group B behind group winners, Barcelona, as both Tottenham and Inter Milan finished up on eight points apiece.
Spurs beat PSV and Inter Milan at home but lost to Barcelona, but the interesting thing about Tottenham is that they’re still scoring goals without Kane. Two of their three home games ended over 2.5 goals while the bigger picture tells us that seven of their last eight Champions League ties at home have gone over the 2.5 goals mark.

Dortmund threw away a three-goal lead in the Bundesliga against Hoffenheim on the weekend and were eventually held to an amazing 3-3 draw at their Signal-Iduna-Park as they look to put that disappointment behind them when they make their way over to London for this round of 16 first leg at Wembley Stadium.
Dortmund finished top of Group A as they narrowly edged out Atletico Madrid on goal difference to claim top spot, losing just once during the group stages which was a 2-0 defeat away at runners-up, Atletico Madrid, but their progress was assisted by two away wins at Club Brugge and Monaco who showed they were both out of their depth at this level.
Recent results have produced mixed displays from Dortmund over the last couple of seasons in the Champions League as they’ve recorded wins against Club Brugge, Monaco twice and the highlight of their campaign, a resounding 4-0 home win over Atletico Madrid, but they’ve also stumbled to defeats to Tottenham (in 2017), Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Betting Tips Verdict
Dortmund aren’t quite the side they used to be while Tottenham are without Kane but nevertheless, both teams should produce a few goals in this first leg.
