In Group B, Tottenham will be hoping they can keep their winning momentum going when they take on Inter Milan as the betting tips continue in the Champions League.
Tottenham come into this clash fresh from what could be a pivotal 3-1 home win over Chelsea which lifted Spurs into third place above their London rivals, and also became Tottenham’s fifth straight win in all competitions.
The hosts desperately need all three points on match day 5 though as they trail their opponents, Inter Milan by a three point deficit and a victory tonight would keep their hopes of claiming a top two place in the group alive.
Tottenham didn’t get off to the best of starts in this campaign as they suffered back-to-back defeats to Inter Milan and Barcelona but a draw and a win over bottom club PSV mean they’re still in with a chance.
Inter Milan also registered a convincing win on the weekend when they saw off Frosinone 3-0 at home as they prepare for a trip to London and a date with Tottenham at Wembley Stadium. In contrast to Tottenham, Inter Milan started with a bang by recording two wins on the trot over Tottenham and PSV, but have since gained just one further point from their last two matches.
This might have something to do with the fact that they’ve played Barcelona home and away which resulted in defeat away but grabbed a point in a 1-1 draw at their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. The visitors haven’t always been convincing away from home in the Champions League and it’s been six seasons since they last appeared on this stage.
The betting tips suggest this’ll be a tight contest but I fancy Tottenham to just sneak the points here, with a resurgent Harry Kane back in goalscoring form.
