Tottenham and Liverpool destined for share of the spoils

TOTTENHAM v LIVERPOOL

Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

The early kick-off in the return of this weekend’s Premier League action sees a lunchtime clash between Tottenham and Liverpool as the betting tips continue in the top flight on Saturday.

The recent international break probably came at the wrong time for Tottenham who fell foul to a 2-1 loss away at Watford, and a two-week break means the north London outfit may well have stewed on that result, whereas they’d have rather looked to their next match to set the record straight.

As it is, Tottenham play host to Premier League leaders Liverpool at Wembley Stadium with the visitors enjoying top spot ahead of this encounter, while Tottenham’s three-match winning start to the season ended at Vicarage Road.

Spurs had previously registered wins against Newcastle United, Fulham and Manchester United and they’ve won their last four on the trot at Wembley. Midfielder Moura (3 goals) and Kane (2 goals) are the main goal threats for the hosts.

As mentioned earlier, Liverpool sit top of the Premier League for the first time in many seasons as Jurgen Klopp’s side have made a fantastic start to the new campaign. The Reds possess a 100% winning record which has placed them top of the pile, and the new signings of Alisson, Keita and Fabinho seem to have settled in nicely, apart from Alisson’s recent brain fade against Leicester City!

But with a great start to the season as well as splashing out over 172 million Euros for the aforementioned trio, comes the pressure of actually delivering some silverware to Anfield, which has been a very long time overdue.

In fact, not just silverware but to be more specific, the Premier League title – anything other than going deep into the Champions League will be deemed a success if they don’t win the league, so the pressure is on Klopp’s men to step up this season.

Liverpool’s last seven away matches in the Premier League have seen The Reds win three, draw twice and lose twice so the visitors are by no means guaranteed of all three points here.

My betting tips suggest backing the value option of the draw in this clash which wouldn’t be the worst result for either side.
