Tottenham and Manchester City to both score in emotional clash

Premier League Tips

TOTTENHAM v MANCHESTER CITY

Monday 29th October 2018 – Kickoff: 2000hrs

Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

This weekend’s Premier League schedule has saved possibly the best for last as Monday night football brings us a mouthwatering but also sombre clash between Tottenham and Manchester City as the betting tips continue at Wembley Stadium in what is likely to be an emotional evening.

Recent events have overshadowed the football across England as reports that former Tottenham legend, Glenn Hoddle collapsed yesterday and with Hoddle’s career being inextricably linked forever with the north London club, the hosts will be keen to show their support on and off the field. In addition, the horrific helicopter crash at the King Power Stadium in Leicester has also rocked the footballing community.

Tottenham occupy 5th place in the English top flight but are just two points adrift of 2nd placed Manchester City heading into this important fixture, and Monday night’s hosts bring a four-match winning streak into this encounter.

Recent wins over Brighton, Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and West Ham have helped maintain Tottenham’s challenge for an automatic Champions League spot, and with a home record of  2-0-1  5/3, the hosts will fancy their chances of getting something from this match.

Striker Kane (5 goals) along with Lamela and Moura (3 goals apiece) look to be the hosts’s main goalscoring avenues while midfielder Eriksen pulls the strings.

Manchester City’s grasp on top spot in the Premier League was relinquished yesterday after Liverpool recorded a convincing 4-1 win against Cardiff City at Anfield, so the visitors make their way down to the nation’s capital looking to recapture top spot at an emotionally charged Wembley Stadium.

City registered an important 3-0 win away at Shakhtar Donetsk during the week in the Champions League and this was on top of winning five of their last six matches overall in the Premier League – the other match was a 0-0 draw away at Liverpool.

The visitors still remain unbeaten this season and hold a decent away record that stands at  2-2-0  8/1 and although they’ve recently surrendered top spot to Liverpool, this must surely be just a temporary changing of the guard.

City are unbeaten in their last 11 matches on their travels and beat Tottenham 3-1 in their last visit to London.

It’s fairly likely that Manchester City could grab the three points here, but the hosts have an extra reason to do well tonight and my betting tips prefer backing both teams to score in this clash.
