Tottenham picked up a fifth league win from six matches on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win away at Swansea City and although it wasn’t an entirely convincing performance from Spurs, they’ll now move onto a London clash with West Ham at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night.

Spurs did enough to claim all three points against a Swansea side who really struggled to keep Tottenham at bay, and once again, they had goalkeeper Fabianski to thank that it didn’t turn into a heavier defeat. Tottenham have now won their last three on the trot with additional earlier wins over  Burnley and Southampton.

The hosts have also won six of their last seven at Wembley, this dispelling any myths about being able to perform on on their temporary home turf as they possess a solid home record of  6-3-1  21/8.

Visitors West Ham nicked all three points with a last-gasp winner from striker Andy Carroll who had endured his longest spell of not scoring, but his brace against hapless West Brom was enough for The Hammers to record a valuable win as they lifted themselves out of the bottom three.

West Ham are building up a positive momentum now under manager, David Moyes, as his side have suffered just one defeat from their last six in the Premier league which was a slightly surprising 3-2 defeat at home to Newcastle United, but wins over Chelsea, Stoke City and West Brom have more than compensated for that loss.

However, there’s still plenty of room for improvement in their results away from home as they currently possess a poor looking record of  1-4-6  12/24 where they’ve conceded 2 goals or more on eight occasions, with eight of their 11 away matches resulting in over 2.5 goals.
