While Tranmere Rovers were catching some rest, Northampton Town slumped to a heavy 4-0 defeat at home to Colchester United which left Keith Curle’s side in a lowly 17th place ion League Two with a difficult upcoming trip to Birkenhead this Tuesday night to face Tranmere Rovers.
That loss to Colchester became Northampton Town’s third defeat in five matches in the fourth tier and followed earlier losses to Forest Green Rovers and Cambridge United, both of which were away from home.
