Twente Preview – Can Twente win three on trot?

Twente will be seeking to make it three wins on the trot when they play host to AZ at their De Grolsch Veste on Thursday night in the Eredivisie following recent victories over Utrecht and Vitesse, and in turn could help lift the hosts up into the top seven.

Twente had made a slow start to the new domestic season though as the hosts had suffered losses against Fortuna Sittard and Cambuur but had earned a solid point in a 1-1 draw at home with Ajax.

The bigger picture though shows that Twente have won just three out of their last 17 matches overall in the Dutch top flight and this may be a tough assignement on Thursday night.

 

 

AZ Preview – Can AZ continue dominance?

AZ have held the upper hand over Twente in previous exchanges but the visitors will need to pull something out of the hat if they’re to grab all three points on Thursday night against their hosts, Twente.

AZ have lost three of their opening four games of this new Eredivisie season having suffered losses to Waalwijk, PSV and Heracles, while their only highlight so far this season came in the form of a 3-1 win away from home at Heerenveen.

Results have been mixed on the road but AZ’s previous stranglehold over Twente may be enough to grab at least a point here, if not all three.
