Krasnodar sneaked their way past German side Bayer Leverkusen in the previous round of 32 thanks to the away-goal rule following a first leg 0-0 stalemate in Russia, but then scoring in the 1-1 draw in the second leg in Germany to secure their place in this round of 16.
The Russian club are without a win though from their last four matches in all competitions after the two draws with Bayer Leverkusen, along with a 1-0 Russian cup defeat away at Rostov and another draw with Spartak Moscow in the domestic Premier League on the weekend.
Recent results in the Europa League have been more modest too as the visitors have managed just two wins in this competition from their last six matches overall, which were against Standard Liege and Akhisarspor, both of which were recorded at their Stadion FK Krasnodar.
