Football – Europe – Champions League Betting Tips

Match day four continues in the Champions League on Wednesday night and my next pick features a Group H clash between Valencia and Young Boys – read on for our betting tips.

A valuable three points is for grabs for both teams in this encounter as they look to catch up with second placed Manchester United who make their way to Juventus in the other group match. Valencia started this season’s Champions League campaign with a 2-0 defeat at home to Juventus, but they’ve since picked up a couple of crucial points.

Draws with Manchester United in a 0-0 stalemate at Old Trafford along with a 1-1 draw away at tonight’s opponents, Young Boys in Bern have kept tonight’s hosts in the race for a second place spot.

Regardless of what happens in the Juventus match though, Valencia desperately need a win tonight and all three points to kick-start not only their European campaign, but also on the domestic front in La Liga.

Young Boys make their way over to Spain for Wednesday night’s encounter with Valencia on the back of three wins on the trot in all competitions following Swiss Super League victories over Sion and Grasshopper along with a Schweizer Pokal cup win away at Stade Nyonnais.

However, switch to the Champions League and the visitors have lost two of their first three group matches with heavy defeats to Manchester United and Juventus (both by 3-0 margins), while they could only muster a point at home against tonight’s opponents, Valencia in the last round.

Indeed, it’s just two wins from their last 11 ties at Champions League level which were wins against Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Zagreb, while the story gets even worse away from home as Young Boys have lost seven of their last 8 on their travels.

My betting tips suggest a home win here for Valencia.
