Group L is up next with joint second placed Videoton taking on the runaway group leaders Chelsea at their Puskás Akadémia Pancho Aréna as the betting tips continue in Thursday night’s Europa League action.

Videoton

Videoton’s Europa League group campaign started in disastrous fashion as they suffered back-to-back defeats to BATE Borisov (at home) and away at Chelsea, but the Hungarian club bounced back with back-to-back wins to balance things out.

Wins over PAOK home and away put them back on track before another defeat on match day 5 away at BATE set them back again. The hosts now need to take all three points against a dominant Chelsea outfit in order to have any chance of progressing through to the next stage of the competition.

Videoton’s last 9 home matches at this level have seen them register the following record – W5 L3 D1, but with due respect to their previous opponents, they haven’t faced a team of Chelsea’s calibre during that nine-match sequence.

Chelsea

Chelsea have already qualified for the knockout phase of the Europa League after absolutely dominating Group L by winning all five of their group matches to date as The Blues possess a 100% winning record.

Chelsea have swept aside all challengers so far with home and away wins over PAOK and BATE and a 1-0 home win over tonight’s opponents, Videoton as the visitors have also kept four clean sheets in the process too.

The visitors have also won their last four away matches in the Europa League on the trot so a trip to Hungary shouldn’t faze Maurizio Sarri’s side too much who have the likes of Giroud, Hazard, Morata and Pedro in their attacking ranks.

Betting Tips Verdict

Videoton desperately need the win here but that doesn’t mean all three points are guaranteed against a Chelsea side who have reason to prove a point.
