Football – Europe – Euro 2016 Betting Tips

Having qualified for their first major football tournament since the 1958 World Cup, thoughts of reaching the quarter-finals would have been a distant dream for even the most ardent Welsh fans but here we are, with Wales taking on Belgium as the last eight teams battle it out for a semi-final place.

With England falling to Iceland and both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland knocked out, Wales now represent Great Britain in the Euro 2016 finals, and their brand of attacking football has paid dividends so far.

They topped Group B which also included England, Slovakia and Russia and they beat Northern Ireland in the last 16 to reach the quarter-finals. With Gareth Bale in good form, and players like Church, Vokes and Robson-Kanu in support, they could spring a surprise here.

Belgium secured their place in the quarter-finals with a resounding and comprehensive 4-0 win over Hungary with midfielder Eden Hazard the star of the show (and man of the match) as he ran the Hungarian defence ragged.

Belgium are now seemingly on a roll having won their last three matches in the Euro 2016 finals with victories over Republic of Ireland 3-0, Sweden 1-0 and Hungary 4-0, and with a very strong midfield of Hazard, De Bruyne and Nainggolan along with Lukaku up front, they look likely to add to their 8-goal tally on Friday night.

The past seven meetings between these two sides have been fairly even with Wales winning twice, Belgium three wins and two draws. And although recent meetings have been low scoring affiars, I reckon we could be in for a few goals this evening.
